Quick answers to the most common questions about getting started with Soku — missing data, shared workspaces, permissions, and switching context.

# FAQ

## Will connecting my ad accounts get them suspended?

No. The bans you may have heard about come from AI agents wired directly into Meta or Google with raw tokens — firing high-frequency, machine-like bursts that platforms' anomaly detection flags as bot activity. Soku avoids this by design:

- **Official APIs** — we connect through the platforms' sanctioned Marketing APIs, not browser automation or raw personal tokens.
- **Built-in rate control** — API calls are paced and throttled to stay well within each platform's limits, rather than the high-frequency bursts that trigger detection.
- **Human approval on live changes** — budget, bid, and campaign/ad status changes require your explicit approval before they execute, so nothing that moves money or alters live delivery runs away on its own.

## I don't see any data after signing in

Connect an ad account from the top-level **Integrations** entry in the sidebar first, and make sure the account is assigned to the brand you're currently viewing. See [Connecting accounts](/docs/connecting-accounts).

## My colleague can't see the same workspace

Make sure you're both in the **same organization**. If you each signed up separately, you created two independent organizations. One of you needs to invite the other from **Settings → Members** using their email. See [Inviting your team](/docs/inviting-your-team).

## I can't find the Connect button / can't connect an account

Connecting accounts requires organization **Admin** permissions. Ask your organization admin to connect it or upgrade your role.

## How do I switch organization or brand?

Use **Switch organization** / **Switch brand** in the top-left corner. The same switcher also has an **Organization workspace** entry, which takes you to the cross-brand view — usage, ad spend, and activity for the whole organization. See [Managing across brands](/docs/organization-workspace).

## What are the "Unattributed" and "Unassigned" rows in my organization usage?

They're catch-all buckets, not errors. Some usage and spend can't be tied to a live brand — usage recorded before brand attribution existed, activity from a brand you've since deleted, or an ad account that isn't assigned to any brand. Soku shows it separately rather than dropping it, so the per-brand numbers plus the bucket always add up to the total.

## Why does my per-brand ad spend add up to more than the organization total?

Because an ad account assigned to several brands counts once for *each* of those brands, so every brand's view is complete. The organization total counts each account only once, so it's smaller than the sum of the rows.

## Where do I start?

Run through the **Checklist** in the left nav, or follow the [Quickstart](/docs/quickstart) end to end.
